Riley's first trip to the queen city

This post is a little late.. story of my life lately. Riley and mommy went to Charlotte, (mommy's home town) for a week and daddy came on Friday. It was so great visiting Noni, Papa, uncle Wes and meeting Great Grammy for the first time. Uncle Wes was home for his knee surgery so it was fun getting to hang out with him all day. We ate lunch with some of mommies high school friends, Lindsey and Jennifer and her son Clark. So great seeing everyone and what a great first vacay! A week was not enough.. maybe we should go for two next time.

Happy 4th of July

We had a wonderful forth of July with family and friends. What a fun holiday. Matt's best friend from his childhood came with his wife and we enjoyed cookouts with yummy food, going out to eat, grilling, beach, pool, golf, shopping and karaoke... so fun! Well, I ended up taking pics of the baby only.. opps. I got carried away with her photos I did not take any the rest of the weekend. Enjoy and Happy Independence Day!

Two Months

Well, here we are again and it is two months now, boy time is flying. Our sweet little angel is growing up so fast and we are more in love every day. Big milestones this month were her first smile, cooing and recognizing her voice and the bumbo. Mommy and Riley were looking in the mirror at 5 weeks one morning and there she saw herself and smiled, my heart melted, it was the sweetest thing. At 6 weeks she smiled all the time. We have been in the pool and ocean and she loves the water. Riley loves listening to herself talk and coos all the time, it is the most precious sound I have ever heard. We slept through the night at 8 weeks but that was just a one time shot, other than that we wake up once a night so she is doing great. Riley keeps her head up in the bumbo and it is hilarious, she looks like a little girl:) We love you sweet pea and can't wait to see what next month brings. xoxo

Mother's Day, Milestones, Memorial Day and a Visit from The Morrisons

Wow, I am so far behind. We are loving our sweet daughter and are just amazed at how much she has touches our lives. We have been very busy and I just can't seem to catch up so I have been terrible about blogging. Where do I begin...

First Mother's Day! What a special day. Mommy woke up to a sweet baby girl with big blue eyes starring at her.. my heart melted. We went to brunch at the club, then had a nice relaxing afternoon at home and went for a family walk. Riley gave mommy a necklace with a R on it and I love it! It was such a special day!

Riley is great at tummy time. She has a very strong neck and can hold herself up very well at this age. She smiled at 5 weeks and oh my goodness it melted my heart but by 6 weeks she was smiley all the time and it is the cutest thing ever.

Memorial Day, Papa came to visit and then Noni came to visit, then the Morrison's came. We had a lot of visitors in one week:) We loved it. Riley and Clark got to play and they were so cute together. We can't wait to see everyone next week in Charlotte.

4 Weeks and Time is Flying

Gosh, we can not believe it has been 4 weeks that our sweet baby girl entered the world. We have had such an incredible past 4 weeks and are so looking forward to seeing our daughter grow, but we sure will miss her newborn stage (which we are still in.. yay). I need to catch ya'll up on pictures but for now I will leave you with our 1 month picture. Let's just say we were having a little bit of a fussy afternoon but mommy still decided to do a photo shoot which well.. did not end up so great, hence the last photo so pictures were limited:)

Mommy and Daddy are still trying to figure out who I look like. I am losing my hair and it is coming in blonde to match my long blonde eyelashes and eyebrows (which mommy loves):) My eyes are bright blue and I think I have daddy's nose but then some days I think I have mommy's nose. I have big hands and feet like mommy and long legs like daddy. I am loving hearing my voice so I grunt a lot. I feed every 2-3 hours and even sometimes 4-4.5. I am much more alert these days and I love tummy time, my play mat, bouncy seat and swing. Oh and mommy and I have story time and dance and music class everyday. I love to dance to Raffi with mommy:) I almost think she likes Raffi more than me because she loved it as a child! Enjoy the photos!
