3 Months

Happy 3 months sweet Riley girl! WOW.. really..!! Riley fills our hearts with pure LOVE everyday and we so look forward to waking up and leaning over her bassinet each morning and see her sweet smile. We have been very active this month with play dates, beach trips, pool days, a trip to Sunset Beach and Charlotte and really getting to know mommy and daddy. Now a word from Miss Riley;

"I am LOVING my octopus on the play mat and smile at it all the time and am so intrigued. I am so alert and like to sit up and smile at everyone. I am taking naps in my crib and sometimes I take two, two hour naps each day and mommy gets so much done. Not sleeping through the night, but wake up once to eat because I am a big girl and need that milk to grow big and strong. I am still sleeping with mommy and daddy in my moses basket but I am almost to long for it. I am a mommy's girl but daddy is slowing becoming my pal. Overall I am a great sleeper, eater and love to smile!"

Duplin Winery

Meade had a great idea to meet at Duplin Winery for the day so we decided to take a day trip. Matt and I went to Duplin winery for our first anniversary and had a blast a few years ago so we were excited to go back. We met my brother Meade and his wife Emily and Emily's sister Katherine and her boyfriend Will were visiting so we were lucky to get to see them as well. We listened to some music on the terrace while enjoying the sweet muscadine wine and then toured the production facility and did a wine tasting!!!! We had a blast. Riley was so good through everything so we were so excited, our sweet girl:) Enjoy!

This post is a little late.. story of my life lately. Riley and mommy went to Charlotte, (mommy's home town) for a week and daddy came on Friday. It was so great visiting Noni, Papa, uncle Wes and meeting Great Grammy for the first time. Uncle Wes was home for his knee surgery so it was fun getting to hang out with him all day. We ate lunch with some of mommies high school friends, Lindsey and Jennifer and her son Clark. So great seeing everyone and what a great first vacay! A week was not enough.. maybe we should go for two next time.

Happy 4th of July

We had a wonderful forth of July with family and friends. What a fun holiday. Matt's best friend from his childhood came with his wife and we enjoyed cookouts with yummy food, going out to eat, grilling, beach, pool, golf, shopping and karaoke... so fun! Well, I ended up taking pics of the baby only.. opps. I got carried away with her photos I did not take any the rest of the weekend. Enjoy and Happy Independence Day!
