It's Shower Time

This past weekend I was so blessed to have such a beautiful shower thrown with all of my Wilmington friends and my family! It was such a beautiful shower and great visiting with all my friends and family at once:) Sweet baby Riley is so loved already and if she only knew how many boyfriends she has waiting on her arrival she would be amazed. I am so blessed to have such wonderful and special family and friends that mean so much to me and helped in celebrating such a wonderful occasion. Thank you so much to everyone for making this day so special.

The food and decor were both delicious and gorgeous!

Weeks 26 and 27

Well, the baby bump is progressing which has been so fun to watch grow these past several months. I am getting a little less mobile considering there well let's just say is a 2 pound plus baby in my tummy. I am continuing to feel great and getting more and more excited about our sweet angels arrival. I had a doctors appointment last Tuesday and it went great. I am measuring right on which means the baby is a good size and her little heart was just beating away. I also passed for the gestational diabetes test which I am thrilled about ( I was so nervous I was not going to pass since I have a HUGE sweet tooth).
The nursery is coming together! I got my bedding and a bookcase this weekend and my glider should be in next week!!! I will take pictures as soon as I have the glider in. I have had the dresser, crib and shelf for awhile now so it really does feel like everything is coming together. Still deciding on my wall decor and valance but I think I have an idea:) I have a shower this weekend in Wilmington so I can not tell you how excited I am:) I will update you on Sunday with pics. Have a great week.

Mouth Watering Meatloaf

You must try this twist on a classic dish.. MEATLOAF. Matt and I were drooling over this meatloaf and I mean drooling. I found this recipe out of a Cooking Light magazine and had to try it and it is on our top 5 favorite dishes. I crave red meat since I have been pregnant, which I never did before and boy did this hit the spot. I will be 27 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I can't believe time has flown by so quick. We can't wait to meet our sweet baby girl. Stay tuned for new pictures. Now go make this meatloaf:) ENJOY!

Cheesy Meat Loaf Minis

1/2 c fresh breadcrumbs
1 c chopped onion
2 garlic cloves
1/2 c ketchup
3 oz white cheddar cheese
1/4 c parsley
2 Tbl. grated Parmesan cheese
1 Tbl. horseradish
1 Tbl. Dijon Mustard
3/4 Tsp dried Oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 Tsp pepper
1 1/2 lbs ground sirloin
1 egg

Bake 425 degrees.
Heat skillet over medium-high heat. add breadcrumbs, cook 3 minutes or until toasted, stirring frequently.
While breadcrumb cook, heat large skillet over med-high. coat pan with cooking spray. Add onion and garlic; saute 3 minutes. Combine onion mixture, breadcrumbs, 1/4 c ketchup and remaining ingredients.
Shape into 6 (4x2) inch loaves on broiler pan coated with cooking spray. spread tsp ketchup over each. Bake 25 minutes.

I served this with the homemade mash potatoes b/c you can't have meatloaf without mash potatoes.

Snow Day and 25 Weeks

What a nice surprise we had this morning around 7:30am. Wilmington ended up getting around 5 inches of snow..so of course the town shut down! Matt and I were use to the snow being in the Mountains for a week so we were well prepared. We went to the Horne's (Matt's sister's house) down the street and played in the snow for awhile and then came back and enjoyed Hot Chocolate! YUMMY!

As far as the pregnancy, boy this baby is growing and kicking like crazy. I am feeling great but beginning to slow down a little more than normal. We sure can't wait to meet our little angel:) Happy snow day!

Baby Shower Love

What a wonderful time we had at a triple baby shower. This was my first one and I was so excited, gosh everything is just too cute! Our dear friend Cameron from high school lives in London and was in town for the holidays and threw us girls a joint baby shower because she was unable to make it back for the other showers. It was a blast and so great to see everyone on a snowy Sunday morning for brunch, fun drinks, games and WONDERFUL company. Heather and Jennifer are having boys and as you know I am having a girl so it was so cute seeing all the little clothes and we just had a blast. Thank you so much to Cameron and her mom for hosting such a wonderful event! Love to all!

The Last of 2010

Beautiful View from house

Happy 2011! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Matt and I were so lucky to be able to see both the Sullivan and Bradshaw families in one day. Christmas Eve was spent with yummy food, church and games at the Sullivan's. This was the first year Matt and I spent the night in our bed, so weird. Christmas morning we got up and packed the car and headed to celebrate Christmas morning with gifts and breakfast at the Sullivan's and the headed to Charlotte to see my family. We had a delicious Christmas dinner that mom prepared and opened gifts with my family and played games. We then headed to the mountains on Tuesday for a week in the snow filled with family time and more games. Can you tell we like games? What a wonderful way to end the year 2010 with loved ones. We are so lucky to have the week off an relax with our family. The baby got more than everyone for Christmas..does that surprise anyone? We were so excited to put everything in her room and set it up. This is so exciting. 3 more months:)
