Peach Tree

We love peaches in the Sullivan house and boy are we excited about our peach tree. I discovered this last year after finding peach pits on the ground from the prior year. The peaches are really yummy but very small. I love making cobblers so that might be in the plan in the next few weeks. I have been making strawberry cobblers with the hundreds of strawberries we buy each week:) Oh we love summer!

Cuban Pizza

What a fun weekend in Bald Head Island with the girls! For those of you that do not know much about Bald Head, it is so peaceful and relaxing. No cars on the island, golf carts are the way of travel and it is so fun and adventurous. I did not take many pics but I did manage to snap a few picks Friday night of this amazing, delicious pizza Betsy introduced to me.

Cuban Pizza

Pizza dough rolled out and cooked
Deli ham, chopped
Dill pickles, chopped
2 cups of Swiss cheese on the top

Bake at 400 degrees or as directed for about 10 minutes to melt the cheese. Enjoy!!! It is sooo yummy.

Sunday Cookout

Do you ever get in the mood to just want to cook ALL DAY and everything you can possibly think of? Well I was feeling like that one Sunday and well that Sunday afternoon I felt like making everything homemade so I went to cooking {my therapy}. I made one amazing meal all from one of my favorite magazines, Cooking Light- June 2010. Grilled turkey burgers topped with cheddar cheese, served with Lemon-Arugula Potato Salad, a new twist on okra and a beautiful Bell Pepper, Tomato and Grilled Bread Salad, as Rachel Ray says... YUMMMO!

Bell Pepper, Tomato and Grilled Bread

So mouth watering you will love it and it is not FRIED {yuck} Ok well yumm, but it is not good for you:)

Lemon- Arugula Potato Salad - a new twist without Mayo

Time to enjoy this wonderful dish and watch a movie on this relaxing Sunday evening:)

Are You My Mother?

Well as ya'll know I have been watching baby birds grow into teenagers now:) There were 5 little eggs, but only two birds hatched {which was strange to me}. My little birds are all grown up and left their little nest last week. It was so fun watching them grow this Spring. I just love Spring:) Summer is here now!

Shower Time!!!

Well, the showers have BEGUN! My older brother, Meade is getting married in August to Emily, who we absolutely adore. Our family is so excited to welcome such a lovely lady into the family. Meade and Emily had their first shower in Greenville, SC this past weekend and it was a blast. Low country boil was on the menu and key lime pie for dessert! Yummy! The setting was beautiful and the weather held up so that was a relief. Great time was filled with family and friends. The next shower will be in Charlotte and I am a hostess:) Hooray! Can't wait!

Cinco De Mayo

We love to eat Mexican food so of course we had to celebrate this day! Taco salad in a taco shell bowl. So yummy!!! Ground turkey seasoned with taco seasoning, tomatoes, avocado, corn, lettuce and cheese, topped with fresh cilantro, sour cream and salsa, made this tasty Mexican night at the Sullivans a delicious one.

Mint Julep Jubilee

What a fun weekend and great way to celebrate the Kentucky Derby with The Junior League of Wilmington's 2nd annual Mint Julep Jubilee!!! We had a ball!! We enjoyed the beautiful Saturday afternoon sipping on mint juleps, vino, eating yummy food, playing boccie ball, bidding on horses, enjoying great friends, listening to a great band and last but not least watching the race. Oh let me also mention a silent auction....from first hand experience I will tell you that drinking and betting is T-R-O-U-B-L-E. Matt and I bet on a trip to Vegas, which we won and a family portrait package that we thought his mom would be so excited about and pay us back. Needless to say she was not excited so we are keeping it for goodness sake, I hope it lasts long so we can use it for our babies..... {I know... not likely}. We are excited about the Vegas three night stay and just need to figure out when to go. We are thinking a Fall trip out West is the perfect time because it is so beautiful out there that time of year. YAY, I love vacations.

Peek-a-boo

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. I went to water the ferns this morning and look what I found. There is another that looks like it is about to hatch. This is so fun!!!
