Celebrating with Friends

This weekend was so great catching up wild old friends. I am so happy to have kept in touch with my high school friends, I think it is so wonderful and special that we are all so close and have kept in touch over the years. We had so much fun celebrating Heather's baby at the shower and then that evening Melissa and Danny's engagement. I was also able to meet my daughter's future husband, Mr. William Clark Morrison. What a cutie pie he is and I can't wait for Jennifer and Brian's sweet baby boy grow up with out Sweet baby girl, due in 10 weeks:) What a special time of year for everyone!

Weeks 26 and 27

Well, the baby bump is progressing which has been so fun to watch grow these past several months. I am getting a little less mobile considering there well let's just say is a 2 pound plus baby in my tummy. I am continuing to feel great and getting more and more excited about our sweet angels arrival. I had a doctors appointment last Tuesday and it went great. I am measuring right on which means the baby is a good size and her little heart was just beating away. I also passed for the gestational diabetes test which I am thrilled about ( I was so nervous I was not going to pass since I have a HUGE sweet tooth).
The nursery is coming together! I got my bedding and a bookcase this weekend and my glider should be in next week!!! I will take pictures as soon as I have the glider in. I have had the dresser, crib and shelf for awhile now so it really does feel like everything is coming together. Still deciding on my wall decor and valance but I think I have an idea:) I have a shower this weekend in Wilmington so I can not tell you how excited I am:) I will update you on Sunday with pics. Have a great week.

Mouth Watering Meatloaf

You must try this twist on a classic dish.. MEATLOAF. Matt and I were drooling over this meatloaf and I mean drooling. I found this recipe out of a Cooking Light magazine and had to try it and it is on our top 5 favorite dishes. I crave red meat since I have been pregnant, which I never did before and boy did this hit the spot. I will be 27 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I can't believe time has flown by so quick. We can't wait to meet our sweet baby girl. Stay tuned for new pictures. Now go make this meatloaf:) ENJOY!

Cheesy Meat Loaf Minis

1/2 c fresh breadcrumbs
1 c chopped onion
2 garlic cloves
1/2 c ketchup
3 oz white cheddar cheese
1/4 c parsley
2 Tbl. grated Parmesan cheese
1 Tbl. horseradish
1 Tbl. Dijon Mustard
3/4 Tsp dried Oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 Tsp pepper
1 1/2 lbs ground sirloin
1 egg

Bake 425 degrees.
Heat skillet over medium-high heat. add breadcrumbs, cook 3 minutes or until toasted, stirring frequently.
While breadcrumb cook, heat large skillet over med-high. coat pan with cooking spray. Add onion and garlic; saute 3 minutes. Combine onion mixture, breadcrumbs, 1/4 c ketchup and remaining ingredients.
Shape into 6 (4x2) inch loaves on broiler pan coated with cooking spray. spread tsp ketchup over each. Bake 25 minutes.

I served this with the homemade mash potatoes b/c you can't have meatloaf without mash potatoes.

Snow Day and 25 Weeks

What a nice surprise we had this morning around 7:30am. Wilmington ended up getting around 5 inches of snow..so of course the town shut down! Matt and I were use to the snow being in the Mountains for a week so we were well prepared. We went to the Horne's (Matt's sister's house) down the street and played in the snow for awhile and then came back and enjoyed Hot Chocolate! YUMMY!

As far as the pregnancy, boy this baby is growing and kicking like crazy. I am feeling great but beginning to slow down a little more than normal. We sure can't wait to meet our little angel:) Happy snow day!
